Venture Financial Recruitment was born in early 2015 out of some very basic principles relating to recruitment:

Superior Service

Proactively offer market advice to companies and job seekers including salary guidelines, market intelligence, recent trends and shifts in recruitment practices.

Temporary versus Permanent recruitment is always a point for discussion and we are happy to provide insight to our clients, allowing them to choose the option that suits their needs best.

Tailored Solutions

We do not tell the client what recruitment solution to take. We advise on all available options including:

Contingency Recruitment (Payment only when the position is filled)
Retained Recruitment (Paying in instalments as the applicants are screened, shortlisted and interviewed)
Exclusive Agreement (Venture Financial exclusively handle the recruitment for a specific assignment in return for a preferred rate)

Value for Money

It may sound old fashioned in what is a very fast paced industry, but we firmly believe in offering competitive rates whilst still delivering the tailored service to our clients. We have extremely competitive preferred rates on offer for key clients – encouraging repeat business and volume work - and also offer introductory rates for new clients.

Flat fees can also be arranged for specific assignments, giving clients peace of mind that no matter what the offer made to the successful candidate, the fee is fixed.

Dan McKeown

Principal

Dan has over 14 years specialist recruitment experience. Having worked at Hays Recruitment for 4 years managing the Financial Services team; he moved to Marks Sattin, where he spent 7 years working on accountancy recruitment briefs in industries that range from pharmaceutical to technology. Dan understands both the specifications of each role and the fit that we, as a company, look for. He really listens to the needs of our business.

Shane Hickey

Partner

Shane has a background in International Real Estate having worked at a Country Manager level for a number of publicly listed developers across Europe and Africa. Shane is fluent in Spanish and has strong digital marketing expertise. He joined the business in December 2016 and has focused on Senior and C level Finance and Compliance roles in the Aviation Finance and Leasing, Financial Services and Technology spaces.

An increasing requirement for many companies based in Ireland, especially FMCG, Retail, and Software businesses. Commercial accountants are involved in cross-functional operations of a business and often heavily influencing sales and marketing.

Cost Accounting

Largely a need for Pharmaceutical and FMCG companies but essential for most manufacturing environments; Venture Financial works closely with these plant environments to source costing experts.

Audit - Internal & External

We place auditors with leading consulting firms as well as internal auditors in multinational operations.

Taxation

Venture Financial manage tax positions across VAT, Corporate Tax, International tax, Personal Tax and Human Capital taxes; with the Top 20 consulting firms in Ireland as well as leading Blu-Chip industry and financial services firms.

Treasury

Covering treasury analysts, FX specialists and treasury accountant positions with leading international clients.

Risk & Compliance

An area particularly in demand given the increase in both internal compliance management and a stricter regulatory environment. We liaise on an ongoing basis with regulatory risk, operational risk and general compliance specialists.

Corporate Insolvency & Restructuring

We cover corporate insolvency, receiverships, forensic accounting and restructuring specialist positions with niche specialist firms as well as the Top 10 advisory practices.

Senior Internal Audit Job

Reporting into the Senior Audit Manager, based in Dublin, this role has responsibility across the EMEA region working with centralised teams and manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities includes

Interrogating controls per site
Meeting with finance teams and discussing processes and procedures and testing same
Identify weaknesses in controls and document same
Use internal audit software to log case work and follow up with stakeholders
Support external third party audits where appropriate
Train and advise local management on proposed control improvements

Requried Qualifications

A qualified accountant
Minimum 3 years working in a busy audit function - multinational or large practice
Exposure to SOX required
Strong systems experience including excel
Experience working with other teams like sales, operations and sales would be an advantage
